Salzburg

My final day of fall break Luke, Alex, and I decided to head to Salzburg, Austria.  It was only about a two hour train ride outside of Munich so we left early in the morning and planned on heading back to Munich later that night.  We got there around noon and originally our plan was to do the Sound of Music movie tour but unfortunately the main tour group wasn't doing a tour on that day. So we didn't really have a plan for the day other than see what Salzburg has to offer. We were walking out of the train station when all of the sudden we see a hop on hop off Sound of Music tour. It was quite lucky honestly and we figured it was a sign so we paid and got on.  We saw some of the main sights of the movie, for example, the lake, the house, the gazebo, and the garden.  We also saw the main sights of Salzburg and where Mozart grew up.  Overall, Salzburg had an awesome feel to it.  It reminded me a bit of Bath except it was a bit bigger.  It was busy but not overwhelming busy and everywhere you looked you could see the Alps at the distance.  We had a great time in Salzburg and we loved seeing the Sound of Music sights.  Us three aren't huge Sound of Music fans, but we all decided we wanted to do it for our mothers back home who love it.  Hearing the songs from the movie made me think about home and honestly made me miss my mother! But I will be fine because they are coming in less than three weeks to visit.  I had an incredible fall break filled with new experiences and fun times. I will never have a better fall break for the rest of my life and I am thankful I got to spend it with some great guys. Until next time.
